Today's Gift
Once in a while, we forget about the kind things people have done for us. Do we remember the next-door neighbor who helped us get our kite out of a tree, or the sibling who helped us finish a project for school? If we think about these kindnesses, we will remember how happy we were to receive them.
These people and others may need a kindness we can give. Our next-door neighbor may get sick and need us to go to the store, a sibling may need help moving a piece furniture, a friend may just need someone to vent to, or the elderly person down the street may need the lawn mowed. Whenever we take the time to give a kindness, we will find that like the boomerang, it returns to us in the form of happiness.
Will I be alert to my chances to give kindness today?

Keep It Simple
One must show it a friendly face. ~James Whitcomb Riley
We are beginning to learn that we get what we expect. Why? If we believe that people are out to get us, we’ll not treat them well. We will think it’s okay to “get them” before they “get us.” Then, they’ll be angry and want to get even. And on it goes.
It’s great when we can meet the world with a balance. We are now honest people. We can expect others to be fair with us. We get the faith, strength, and courage to do this because of our trust in our Higher Power.
Prayer for the Day: Higher Power, help me to find reminders today that the world can be a friendly place. I will put my best face forward and hope that my good energy will be reflected back.
Action for the Day: Today I’ll spread friendliness. I will greet people with a smile.

One Day At A Time
I have seen hundreds of families set their feet in the path that really
goes somewhere; have seen the most impossible domestic situations
righted; feuds and bitterness of all sorts wiped out. I have seen men
come out of asylums and resume a vital place in the lives of their families
and communities. Business and professional men have regained their
standing. There is scarcely any form of trouble and misery which has
not been overcome among us.

All that will happen***************************Daily MotivationExcerpt of The Daily Motivator
by Ralph Marston
Think for a while about the days to come and remind yourself of this. You will have the chance to do your best, and you will be able to do well.
Life’s challenges will continue to test your strength. As a result your strength will grow and your skills will improve.
You cannot know all that will happen tomorrow, yet you can know this. Everything you experience has the potential to add richness to your life.
You’ll have opportunities to offer kindness, to practice patience, focus, and discipline. There will always be new mysteries to intrigue you, lessons to teach you, endeavors to enrich you.
There was a time when you never even knew about or cared about much of what you now value. Imagine how much more you will come to treasure and love as life continues to unfold.
In whatever may come there is goodness and value to be found. Step forward with confidence and create your own unique richness in each new moment that arrives.
