Today's Gift
Each experience we have plays its part in the total picture of our lives. The steps we have taken, the path we travel today, and our direction tomorrow are not by chance. There is a pattern. We each have a destiny. We may have veered off the path in the past, and we may veer off it again. But we'll be guided back, and our paths intersect. None of us is traveling alone. We have each other and the creative force that is at the helm.
When we look around us and reflect on how our lives are influenced by the persons close to us, we become aware that our presence affects their lives as well. Most of us could never have predicted the events that have influenced us. Nor can we anticipate what the future may hold. We can be certain, however, that we are safe; a power greater than ourselves is orchestrating our affairs.
There were times we feared we'd never survive an experience. Perhaps we still struggle with fears about new experiences. But every experience adds a necessary thread to the pattern our life is weaving. We have the gift of reflection. We can understand, today, the importance of particular events of the past. Next month, next year, we'll understand today.
I shall enjoy the richness of today. My life is weaving an intricate, necessary pattern that is uniquely mine.

Twenty-Four Hours a Day
Keep It Simple
A sense of vision, seeing who we can dare to be and what we can dare to accomplish, is possible if we focus intently on the present and always the present. We are all we need to be, right now. We can trust that. And we will be shown the way to become who we need to become, step by step, from one present moment to the next present moment. We can trust that, too.
The past that we hang onto stands in our way. Many of us needlessly spend much of our lives fighting a poor self-image. But we can overcome that. We can choose to believe we are capable and competent. We can be spontaneous, and our vision of all that life can offer will change—will excite us, will cultivate our confidence.
We can respond to life wholly. We can trust our instincts. And we will become all that we dare to become.
Action for the Day: Each day is a new beginning. Each moment is a new opportunity to let go of all that has trapped me in the past. I am free. In the present, l am free.

One Day At A Time
Some of us once had great self-confidence, but it didn’t fully solve the fear
problem, or any other. When it made us cocky, it was worse. Perhaps there
is a better way—we think so. For we are now on a different basis; the basis
of trusting and relying upon our Higher Power. We trust our infinite Higher Power rather than our finite selves. . . . We ask Them to remove our fear and direct our attention to what
They would have us be. At once, we commence to outgrow fear.

Detach yourself***************************Daily MotivationExcerpt of The Daily Motivator
by Ralph Marston
Detach yourself from the negative things and those things lose their power over you. Detach yourself from the good things and you’ll enable yourself to enjoy them more.
Reality is what it is, and you cannot change what already is. What you can do, though, is to stop being burdened by your own need.
Make every day an adventure rather than a chore. Embrace what comes your way instead of being fearful of it or dependent on it.
Detachment does not mean avoiding commitment. It means avoiding unnecessary entanglement, and acting as the unique and purposeful force that you are.
You can be highly committed to people, objectives, and ideals while at the same time being detached from them. Doing so enables you to act with the power of love rather than the weakness of need.
Detach yourself, and free yourself to embrace life with love, with purpose, with intention. Detach yourself, and you can then involve yourself in the most positive, authentic way possible.
