Today's Gift

One cricket said to another - come, let us be ridiculous, and say love! —Conrad Aiken

Let's all sit in a circle and take turns being ridiculous about what our love is like. Let's play tag with it, and pass it on. Let's say that our love is like diamonds sprinkled on a clear moonless sky, and let's pass it on. Let's say it's like one rose petal too tender to touch, and let's pass it on. Let's say it's like rainbows filling a city sky, and pass it on. Let's say it's small and hard, like an agate or shell, and let's keep passing it on.

We can find images for love all around us, and when we express it to others this way, it grows.

I will appreciate and celebrate all forms of love including those that look different than mine.
Love is Love!

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Keep It Simple

I will radiate love and good will to others that I may open a channel for the Universe’s love to come to all. ~Paramahansa Yogananda

Our spiritual well-being is hindered whenever we isolate ourselves, whenever we withhold our care and attention from the group or a friend. During these moments, our self-centeredness cuts off our connection to our Higher Power, causing peace to elude us and fear to set in.

The converse is also true. Whenever we selflessly express love and genuine concern for others, we can know the presence of our Higher Power and can be exhilarated by that knowledge.

In this, we have freedom. No one else controls our thoughts or our decisions to give unconditional love and genuine attention to others. We are in charge. It is up to us to keep the channel to our Higher Power always open, always freely flowing. Our spiritual health is our responsibility and it’s an easy one to handle. The only requirement is that we offer love and goodwill to others.

Today's Action: I will enhance my spiritual health today by focusing my love on the people on my path so that I may feel my Higher Power’s presence.

One Day At A Time

Thoroughness
Whatever the defects, they have finally ambushed us into
alcoholism and misery. Therefore, thoroughness ought to be
the watchword when taking inventory. In this connection,
it is wise to write out our questions and answers. It will be
an aid to clear thinking and honest appraisal. It will be the first
tangible evidence of our complete willingness to move forward.

Daily Motivation

Excerpt of The Daily Motivator

Give love
by Ralph Marston

Love is the greatest gift. It brings warm light to the cold darkness and offers hope where before there was none.

Love changes lives. Even though it has no logical reason to be, love persists after all else has faded.

Love is lighter than the smallest snowflake and stronger than the mightiest army. With love, the impossible becomes real.

What is built and nurtured with love can withstand any challenge. Love understands, enables, protects and inspires.

The more love you give away, the more you will have. In love is the power of patience and the freedom of forgiveness.

On this day, choose to offer the greatest, most meaningful and lasting gift you can give. With every word, with every thought, with every gesture, with every interaction, give love.
