Today's Gift

The wisdom of all ages and cultures emphasizes the tremendous power our thoughts have over our character and circumstances. —Liane Cordes

"As we think, so we are." We are gifted with the personal power to make thoughtful choices and thus decide whom we are. Our actions and choices combine to create our character, and our character influences the circumstances of our lives.

Our personal mind power will work to our advantage when we think positively, or it will contribute to our disadvantage. Imagining our good fortunes will prepare us for them. Imagining the successful completion of a task heightens and strengthens the commitment we must make daily to it. Imagining the steps necessary to the successful accomplishment of any goal directs our efforts so we don't falter along the way. Our minds work powerfully for our good. And just as powerfully to our detriment, when fears intrude on all our thoughts.

The Universe has given me positive personal power; it lies in the relationship I have with my higher power. My outlook and attitude toward life reveals the strength of my connection to my Higher Power and the Universe. I will work with my Higher Power and imagine my good fortune today.

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Keep It Simple

I must change

Spirit of the Universe, I pray to remember,
No one can make me change.
No one can stop me from changing.
No one really knows how I must change,
Not even I. Not until I start.
Help me remember that it only takes a slight shift
In direction to begin to change my life.

One Day At A Time

An Arch
Returning home we find a place where we can be quiet for an hour,
carefully reviewing what we have done. We thank God from the bottom
of our heart that we know Him better. Taking this book down from our
shelf we turn to the page which contains the twelve steps. Carefully
reading the first five proposals we ask if we have omitted anything, for
we are building an arch through which we shall walk a free man at last.

Thought to Ponder
We can't grow without giving ourselves space for silence and the voice within.

Excerpt of The Daily Motivator

The power to change your world
by Ralph Marston

Your thoughts can change in an instant. And because of that, your whole outlook can change just as quickly.

Have you ever been feeling down and then suddenly encountered a wonderful, positive surprise? Just like that, the world around you changed from dismal to beautiful.

The only thing that really changed, however, was your thinking. Yet it was more than enough to completely transform the situation.

You have the power to change your world because you have the power to choose your thoughts. Though it may feel difficult, and even impossible, as soon as you do make a change in your thinking you realize how quick and easy and effective it can be.

The most important thing about any situation is the way you decide to think of it. Your thoughts can turn any occurrence into an opportunity, any experience into fulfillment.

At any given moment, what you think of your life determines what you will do with it. Always think the very best, and be it.
