Today's Gift
Simple
Belief in a power greater then ourselves, plus enough willingness, honesty and humility
to establish and maintain the new order of things, were the essential requirements.
Simple, but not easy; a price had to be paid. It meant destruction of self-centeredness.
I must turn in all things to the Father of Light who presides over us all.

Thought to Ponder
New ideals and new attitudes bring a new life.

Decide exactly
Plant the seed of desire in your mind and it forms a nucleus with power to attract to itself everything needed for its fulfillment. --Robert Collier
Everything I need shall be provided today. Everything. Say it, until you believe it. Say it at the beginning of the day. Say it throughout the day.
Sometimes, it helps to know what we want and need. But if we don't, we can trust that Universe does.
When we ask, trust, and believe that our needs will be met, our needs will be met. Sometimes our Higher Power and the Universe cares about the silliest little things, if we do.
Today, I will affirm that my needs will be met. I will affirm that my Higher Power and the Universe cares and is the Source of my supply. Then I will let go and see that what I have risked to believe is the truth.

Twenty-Four Hours a Day
Keep It Simple
Defeat may serve as well as victory
To shake the soul and let the glory out. --Edwin Markham
So life has given us some dents. So what? Dents are necessary, besides being unavoidable and painful. Each dent is a part of the process that enables us to embrace life as a creative experience and to see the world in a new way, a way of compassion and understanding. Recovery is not a matter of escaping further blows or of disguising the dents we already have. It's a matter of understanding what the dents mean and how we can work with them.
Dents are neither soft spots in our characters that should make us ashamed nor saber scars that should make us proud. They are simply evidence that we have been alive for a while. Recovery offers us the chance to learn from our dents, to accept them as new spaces for growth. When we decide to see our dents as opportunities gained rather than opportunities lost, we stand much taller in our own eyes and in the eyes of others.
Action for the Day: Today, I will look on my difficult life experiences in a new light. Today, I will plant some seeds.

Excerpt of The Daily Motivator
by Ralph Marston
Whether it is easy or difficult is not the issue. What matters is whether you choose to do it or not.
Is the intended result important enough to earn your commitment? Then you’ll carve a path through all the difficulties and complexities.
There is no question you can achieve whatever matters most to you. The question you must answer is, what exactly does matter most to you?
What are you willing to invest the powerful substance of your effort, your time, your resources, to create? Specifically, and in rich detail, what is it?
You are capable of more things than you could ever name. What you must do is precisely name those objectives upon which you wish to expend your amazing and versatile capability.
You’ve successfully lived every day of your life, and now it’s time to do more. Decide exactly what you will achieve, and experience the extraordinary thrill of making it happen.
