Today's Gift
Life is a series of payments. The common expression, "What goes around, comes around," is a truth that governs each of our lives. As individuals and as members of the human family, we have received untold "payments" from others. On occasion, the payment may not have been one we'd have chosen for ourselves. It takes the distance of time to realize that our payments are meant for our good. And we can share the goodness; in fact, we need to share the goodness with one another. If we give to another the joy given to us, if we give to another the understanding given to us, if we give to another the friendship given to us, we will be ready to receive more in kind.
You and I meet today to make payments. I will receive yours gladly.

Keep It Simple
We’re not born with character. We have to build it through patience, self-esteem, and humility. Character is never revealed by what we think or say, no matter how wise our thoughts or our words may be sometimes. Character is what we are underneath all the layers of our defenses that we show the world.
Character is an outer show of an inner glow that reaches others or pleases ourselves. It is a reserve force for all of us. Its usefulness goes beyond talent. Its greatest energy comes from personal relations with others.
Character permits us to welcome healthy criticism. It is a force that respects truth and develops will and spirit. It is positive. It stresses action and makes all of these qualities clear to others.
Action for the Day: Let me examine my character and develop it with patience, self-esteem, and humility.

One Day At A Time
The central fact of our lives today is the absolute certainty
that our Creator has entered into our hearts and lives in a way
which is indeed miraculous. They have commenced to accomplish
those things for us which we could never do by ourselves.

Thought to Ponder
Don't give up before the miracle happens.

Live the miracle***************************Daily MotivationExcerpt of The Daily Motivator
by Ralph Marston
What if you could step back and see the full value that challenge has added to your life? You would seek it out endlessly.
Imagine that you could see the entirety of the connection between gratitude and life’s abundance. You would be eternally thankful for every little morsel of substance in your life.
Consider what it would feel like to know the full, positive impact of just one small, kind act. You would seize upon each opportunity to offer kindness, compassion and encouragement.
Think of all the good, decent, life-affirming acts people engage in every day. Though they are quiet, modest, and little noticed, there are billions upon billions of them, and their positive influence is incalculable.
Invest a few moments to consider all the goodness that surrounds you, and all the possibilities available to you. Remember that what you focus upon, is what you act upon.
To the east, a golden glow fills the sky and another miraculous day of life has begun. See the miracle, feel it, and live its richness in every experience.
