Today's Gift
Sometimes we sat we're getting out lives together. Together with what? With our selves. The Twelve Steps help us clean up the mess we've made. We're fixing our mistakes. We're looking at ourselves closely---at what we believe, what we feel, what we like to do, who we are. We're asking our High Power to help us to be our best.
No wonder over lives are coming together! No wonder we feel more peace, harmony, and happiness!
Prayer for the Day: Higher Power, help me remember the best harmony comes when I sing from Your songbook.
Action for the Day: Today, I'll make choices that are in line with who I am.
Laughter
So we think cheerfulness and laughter make for usefulness.
Outsiders are sometimes shocked when we burst into merriment
over a seemingly tragic experience out of the past.
But why shouldn’t we laugh? We have recovered,
and have been given the power to help others.
- Alcoholics Anonymous, (The Family Afterward) p. 132
Thought to Ponder
Laughter is medicine for the sober spirit.

Happiness within
Let a joy keep you. Reach out your hands and take it when it runs by. ~Carl Sandburg
There is a song that says joy is like the rain. It comes across our window pane and then goes away again. When joy comes knocking at our window we can reach out and let it in. Joy comes to us in many ways—through deep laughter, through games played together in a spirit of fun and sharing. Singing together, skating, and being around a campfire are all ways we share joy. Yet joy can also be felt alone.
Each moment of joy we reach for strengthens our spirits. Joyful memories can sustain us through days of long hard work. Like rain, joy comes and goes, yet its nourishment keeps our spirits alive.
How can I share my joy today?

Happiness within
by Ralph Marston
Happiness is first found within. But that doesn’t mean it must stay there.
Feel the happiness that springs from your own beautiful essence. Then multiply that happiness by sharing it far beyond you.
The beauty of life is in your ability to see it and appreciate it and find joy in it. Allow your own happiness and you make the world a happy and beautiful place.
Don’t waste your effort searching for a reason to be happy. Don’t conjure up excuses that give you permission to avoid your own happiness.
Just let go of your resistance and let that happiness be. Feel how good it feels, and tap into the positive, effective power that comes from feeling so right.
Delight in the happiness within as you allow it to flow out from you. And let life experience itself in a new and beautiful way.
