Today's Gift

You have freedom when you're easy in your harness. --Robert Frost

Flowing with whatever comes to us in life eases us through each day's demands. When we resist change and the unfamiliar, we imprison ourselves and hide from Life's invitations to grow. Only when we willingly experience Life's lessons with trust and faith, and see them as blessings, are we able to wholeheartedly join in the stream of life.

With Faith in our life, what we once regarded as coincidence becomes the order of the day. Every situation and encounter weaves threads in the tapestry of our life, as we in turn are threads in the tapestry of others' lives.

The pattern unfolds every day that we live trusting that each moment is meant to bless us, educate us, and invite us to contribute our unique and necessary talents. Our Faith is here, now, guiding us. We only need to peacefully follow.

I will take it easy today in the sure knowledge that the Universe will provide me with whatever I need.

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Keep It Simple

Anyone who lives art knows that psychoanalysis has no monopoly on the power to heal.... Art and poetry have always been altering our ways of sensing and feeling - that is to say, altering the human body. --Norman 0. Brown

A person can lead a healing life on many levels. On one level, many of us have turned to healing professionals for help. That may strengthen our healing process and be very beneficial for many of our problems.

Relationships heal when they are loving, affirming, reliable, committed, and loyal. Nature heals: a tree, a walk through tall grass, a dry seedpod, or a potted plant gives life when we turn in its direction. Beauty heals: music, a poem, a novel, or a picture may move us to another plane and teach us about life. Meditation heals: solitude, quiet relaxation, prayer, and cosmic consciousness bring an inner peace. Laughter heals. Physical activity heals.

Doing something for others helps us. At the basic level, accepting ourselves as lovable person, just as we are, is the foundation for all healing.

Action for the Day: The forces for renewal and wholeness are varied. I will reach out to them and be healed by them.

One Day At A Time

Laughter
So we think cheerfulness and laughter make for usefulness. Outsiders are sometimes
shocked when we bust into merriment over a seemingly tragic experience out of the past.
But why shouldn’t we laugh? We have recovered, and have been given the power to help others.
- Alcoholics Anonymous, p 132

Daily Motivation

Excerpt of The Daily Motivator

Energize you
by Ralph Marston

Energy pulses through everything that comes your way. Seize that energy, make it your own, and point it in a positive direction.

You’ll find energy in joy as well as in frustration. There is energy in anger, peace, disappointment, beauty, in excitement and even in boredom.

Whatever the source of energy may be, the thing that matters is what you do with it. And what you can do with it is whatever you choose.

Realize that you are an energy transformer. You can transform the energy of disappointment into the achievement of a lifetime, as many people have indeed done.

Feel your love, feel your purpose, feel your desires and dreams. Harness the energy coming your way and put it to work reaching those dreams, fulfilling that purpose, supporting all you love.

Let every moment, every experience, every person, problem, situation, every idea energize you. Take all that energy and make it into something wonderful.
