Today's Gift

The principle of life is that life responds by corresponding; your life becomes the thing you have decided it shall be. --Raymond Charles Barker

The attitude that we carry with us into a particular setting will greatly influence our perceptions of any event. Our attitude also influences, positively or negatively, personal interactions, and not just those involving ourselves. The effect of our message is this: our personal power is profound. We have explicit control over our own perceptions. We determine our own attitudes. Every moment of our lives we are deciding what we want to see, to think, to feel. And reflections will inform us that our expectations are firmly fulfilled.

How exhilarating to become aware of our freedom to think and to feel as we wish. However, with this freedom comes responsibility. We're barred from blaming others for our troubles. Each of us is charged with the responsibility for deciding our own fate. How we prepare ourselves for this experience or this day is individually chosen. Every minute we are in control of our perceptions, our attitudes, and our responses.

Today is mine to mold. My attitude, my thoughts and responses.

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Keep It Simple

Zeal is the faculty igniting the other mind powers into the full flame of activity. --Sylvia Stitt Edwards

When enthusiasm is absent in our lives, no activity appears inviting. In fact, most situations foster fear. With fear, we're ever so familiar. The program we're committed to relieves us of all fear, when we work it. And it offers us the enthusiasm that will guarantee positive outcomes for our efforts, when we look to our higher power for the right attitude.
An open, trusting, sincere relationship with our higher power equals enthusiasm about life. But that relationship takes work on our part. When we've done our homework we discover that no lesson will baffle us. Prayer and meditation make all things understandable and guarantee that we will "pass the course" on life.

Action for the Day: I will begin this day, and every day, looking to my Higher Power for the gift of zeal to live fully every moment, to give fully what I have to give, and to glory fully in all that I receive. My attitude of gratitude will increase my happiness manyfold. I will look to this day with zeal.

One Day At A Time

Just One Day
Any of us can handle just one day; all each of us has to try at is our own job, our own family life. We don't have to try fixing up the whole world or understanding what no theologian of any faith has ever understood.
We simply stop messing in our Higher Power's business. And in my opinion, when we stop messing and worrying, we have turned our will and our lives over to God (or Good) as we understand (or don't understand) Them.

Thought to Ponder . . .
Remove the worry from your mind. Remove the anger from your heart.
Give a lot. Expect little. Keep it simple.

Daily Motivation

Excerpt of The Daily Motivator

What you allow yourself
by Ralph Marston

Everything you’ve achieved is what you’ve allowed yourself to achieve. What will you allow yourself to achieve today?

All the actions you’ve taken are based on what you expect yourself to do. What will you allow yourself to expect today?

You have the tools to make a difference in life. What tools will you allow yourself to utilize today?

You can allow the excuses to hold you back, or you can allow the possibilities to propel you forward. You can allow yourself to waste precious time or you can allow yourself to enjoy spending time in productive, creative effort.

Each day in your past has been lived the way you allowed yourself to live it. You now can allow yourself to live today in such a way that you’ll look back on it with satisfaction, and with no regrets.

Through all its ups and downs, life ultimately proceeds in the way you allow. Allow yourself to live today in the most positive, honest and fulfilling way you can imagine.
