Today's Gift

If I love with my Spirit, I don't have to think so hard with my head. —Peggy Cahn

Love smoothes all ruffles. All situations are calmed all tension is eased. The expression of love is a balm on all wounds, particularly our own. Feeling love toward the people in our lives today will boost our spirits; our personal difficulties will lessen. We'll discover resolution. The answers we've been searching for become known to us when we concentrate less on our problems and more on the gift of love we can give to the travelers we encounter today.

The solutions to our problems are seldom found in our heads. They burst forth from our hearts. We suddenly seem to know what to do. Perhaps someone else's words or behavior will trigger the inspiration we've longed for. We can let our concern today be on the moment and the experience. We can let its power wash over us, and in the wake we'll find the answers we search for.

When we're brittle, cold to others, we close off whatever messages are being directed to us. Our love for others softens us; making it possible for the words and ideas we await to permeate us.

If I am in need today, if I have a problem that wants a solution, I will reach out to others with love. They'll hand me my answer in return.

Twenty-Four Hours a Day

Walk In Dry Places

Using time wisely

Living or Waiting?
What is the real secret of living 24 hours at a time? Isn't it really a
matter of feeling completely comfortable in the present rather than
believing that happiness depends on something in the future?

Whatever our situation today, it's something we must life through and
deal with effectively. We may be overlooking many wonderful things
in our present life simply because we believe we need some exciting
experience that can only come later on.
We also might be overlooking present opportunities because we're
spending too much time in the past. The past, whether it was god or
bad, is beyond our control.

Our mission is to live effectively and happily today. We can do this
best when we realize that yesterday and tomorrow don't really exist...
today is all we can be sure of.
Action for the Day: I'll live today in the present, handling every problem as well as I can
and enjoying every experience that comes to me.

One Day At A Time

A New Awareness
Peace, love, and joy can be sought through quiet thinking and honest prayer.
The wholeness, the new awareness, that is produced
affects one's relationship with their Higher Power and man
to a degree greater than would seem possible in ordinary life.
The clamor of now is reduced, understanding is increased.
Feelings become something to explore, rather than to suppress.

Daily Motivation

This minute

This minute is the most important one, because this minute is the one you can use. There is so much you can do in this minute if you’ll simply allow the best possibilities to unfold.

Let go of the regrets and guilt and resentment you’ve carried with you from other times. See how foolish it is to be held back by fears about days that have not yet even arrived.

Think of all the good things that truly mean so much to you. Give your focus to those things, and make use of this minute, right now and right here, to expand on that goodness in your world.

Don’t be concerned about what might or might not be, or what others might or might not think of you. Live instead from your authentic center, and make this minute one that adds value to your experience.

Though you may have good excuses for holding back, use this minute to move forward. Though the effort will not be easy, your life is worth the trouble.

This minute is filled with promise and possibility. Right now is when you can transform it into real and lasting value, so do.

— Ralph Marston
