Today's Gift

The only limits to our realization of tomorrow will be our doubts of today. Let us move forward with a strong and active faith. --Franklin D. Roosevelt

When following the inner voice, one must deal with the experience of uncertainty. The future is not laid out and comes down to trust – trusting that the support will be there; that the money will come; that if one path does not work out, another one will open up.

We can develop this trust from experience. We step out in faith the first time, and the Universe supports us. We step out again and the assistance is there. After several experiences, we begin to feel comfortable living by faith – our "invisible means of support."  We no longer need to know ahead of time how everything will work out.

So make the decision. Let go of the worry, the anxiety, and the doubt. Have faith in your connection to universal principles, for it is here that your true security lies. The Universe will not abandon you if you maintain your connection to it. Keep the faith, and the faith will keep you.

Twenty-Four Hours A Day

Keep It Simple

You've got to do your own growing, no matter how tall your grandfather was.---Irish Proverb
Each of us has been given recovery. Now it's up to each of us what we do with it. At times, we'll work hard to grow quickly. At other times, our growth will be slower. This is okay. We're not in a race. Our pace is not important. What is important is that we're always working on our recovery.

We're all part of a fellowship, a caring group. We're one of many. But we're each important. Each of us will have a special way to work our programs through our readings, friends, meetings, and what we know of how life works. each of us puts together a miracle of recovery. We than take our miracle and share it with others, so they can build their miracle.

Prayer for the Day:  Higher Power, help me work at growing. Help me be a person who is an important part of a group.

Action for the Day:  Today, I'll work at seeing myself as very important. I'll remind myself that other's recovery also depends on my recovery. I am needed.

One Day At A Time

Solution
There is a solution. Almost none of us liked the self-searching,
the leveling of our pride, the confession of shortcomings
which the process requires for its successful consummation.
But we saw that it really worked in others.
- Alcoholics Anonymous, p. 25

Thought to Ponder . . .
The solution is simple. The solution is spiritual.

Daily Motivation

You control it

What troubles you is not reality itself. What troubles you is your interpretation of reality.

What frustrates you, motivates you, inspires you and disappoints you are not the facts of the situation but how you choose to view them. And in that fact is enormous power.

You are never at the mercy of random circumstance. On the contrary, you are in control of your whole world because you are in control of the way it all affects you.

Your choice in every moment, of how to see that moment, really matters. Your choice of how to respond to whatever comes your way, really matters.

You have great influence over all that matters to you. You can decide what it means to you, and you also control what you do about it.

You could choose to assume that you're powerless, and your very assumption will make itself true. Or, you can choose to see the real power of your perspective, and use it to create the life of your dreams.

-- Ralph Marston
