Today's Gift

God creates. People rearrange. --Joseph Casey

Being alive is our invitation to act in fresh, inventive ways. All it takes is concentrating on our inner vision in combination with external reality. The components for accomplishing any task are at our fingertips, awaiting discovery.

Our burdens are lightened when we understand that all situations are resolvable - no mystery need leave us in the dark for long. Just as surely as we each exist, so exists every element we need to solve any problem or chart any new course. Our purpose in life is to select those elements that will satisfy the need. We each have been blessed with this capability for proper selection.

The day promises challenge and many choices. I can successfully handle all possibilities.

Common sense

Blaming others
Action NO matter what happens, some people insist that a culprit must be found when things go awry. Someone must be blamed for every wrong or catastrophe. We must be careful not to buy into this practice in three ways:

FIRST, we must avoid being help responsible for problems we didn't cause.

SECOND, we must also avoid any personal guilt for such problems.

THIRD, we must not fall into the trap of unfairly blaming other people.
The best use of energy we spend hunting down culprits is to fix what's
within our powers, to have the courage to change the things (we)
can. Then we will have done what we can to reduce the number
of problems in the world while putting our own talents and energies to
their best uses.

Action for the Day: I'll keep some balance today if I hear anybody blaming others for the world's woes. We'll probably fix most problems one day at a time, and I'll do the best I can with those problems I know something about.

One Day At A Time
Glum?
But we aren't a glum lot. If newcomers could see no joy
or fun in our existence, they wouldn't want it.
We absolutely insist on enjoying life. . .
. . . We think cheerfulness and laughter make for usefulness.

Thought to Ponder . . .Take time to laugh -- it is the music of the soul.

Every situation is an opportunity to make a difference in your own special way. In every moment you can bring new richness to life.

No matter what your job or circumstances may be, there is always plenty of valuable work to be done.

You can find great joy and fulfillment by doing what you can with what you have to make the world a better place.
